A Hogmanay safe zone has been set up, for the second year, in Glasgow’s west end to help party-goers.

Kelvinside Hillhead Parish Church
Launched in 2016 for the first time, anyone in need of help on Sunday can visit the safe zone.
Located at Kelvinside and Hillhead Parish Church, the initiative will be operated by police patrols, Glasgow Street Pastors and officers from Community Safety Glasgow.
Last year the idea was a great success after a west end police officer launched a fundraising bid to get the initiative off the ground.
Everyone is welcome to pop into the church from 9 pm to 3 am for tea, or coffee and to ‘sober up’ before going home safely.
There will also be phone chargers available and volunteers on hand to make sure you get home safely.
